Fits almost anywhere

Smart needed to prove it was the ideal city car without repeating “small is good.”

The solution

Place a life-size Smart in a street mupi that was too small. The car stuck out on both sides, breaking the format and creating an image impossible to ignore. The headline “Almost always there’s a space” played with irony: Smart is so small that even a large billboard is too narrow for it. No TV, no radio, just ingenuity applied to physical space. The campaign reinforced the “Fits anywhere” positioning by physically showing that Smart finds its place where others can’t, without technical explanations or giant budgets. Just a brilliant perspective executed with courage.
