New Style
Briefing
SEAT suffered from chronic boredom. There was no brand coherence. Every campaign looked different, every color competed with the previous one. No clear visual direction, no recognizable DNA. Consumers associated SEAT with “cheap” and nothing else. No desire. No story. Just specs and price.
The challenge wasn’t repainting the logo. It was creating a visual system so vibrant, so cohesive and so desirable that people wanted to be part of the brand. We wanted SEAT to feel as natural and exciting as the brands the new generation already loved: Nike, Apple, Spotify.
Idea
We created a visual language that broke with everything before it. Not “a new logo” — a new way of communicating: vivid and varied colors, bold geometric typography, dynamic collage-style compositions, lifestyle photography with real people. Every piece shared the same energy while telling a different story.
Scope
The visual system was deployed across all product campaigns (Arona, Ateca, Ibiza, Tarraco) and all channels: print, outdoor, digital, social media, dealerships, web and POS material. One identity, a thousand possible expressions.
Results
The brand left “boring” behind and entered “desirable” territory. Visual coherence replaced chaos. Energy replaced coldness. Story replaced spec sheets.
Consumers stopped seeing SEAT as a car they could afford and started seeing it as a brand they wanted to belong to.
